Victor, PA8MM, was actief vanuit het Twiske, PAFF-0092. Hij stuurde ons onderstaande foto en video. Victor maakte 21 QSO's op 20m. Hoewel de QSOs tellen voor de hunters, zal hij nog een keer naar het gebied terug moeten om de 44 QSO's vol te maken en PAFF-0092 voor hem mee te laten tellen als geldige activatie.
Zoals te zien is, gebruikte Victor een ultra-lightweight station met IC-705 en een glasfiber mast met 20m EFHW antenne. Hierdoor kan hij alles makkelijk op de fiets vervoeren.

Het Twiske (PAFF-0092) is a large park area between Amsterdam, Zaandam and Purmerend. There is a scenic lake, trails, beaches etc... All in all - a very nice place to visit (especially with the radio!). On 22.02.20 I decided to take a day off and activate this reference with my new radio. It took me around 20 minutes to cycle from my QTH (Purmerend) to the park and another 10 minutes to erect a mast with a home made EFHW (currently only single band - 20m). The propagation was not impressive at all - usually I easily make 44 QSOs during activations but this time I managed only 21 (all in CW).The new radio (IC-705) performed really well. It's a bit bigger than KX2 I had before, but it has more stuff packed into it with a great performance.
As usual, some people asked me what I am doing here. In my case it's a bit interesting experience because I speak very little Dutch (I'm an expat from Ukraine). Luckily Dutch people are fluent in English, so these discussions always go well :)
